Charlie Cecil Aldridge

Mr. Cecil Aldridge, 93, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Aldridge was born January 26, 1929, in Troup County, son of the late Charlie and Nomie Aldridge. A lifelong resident of Troup County, he was employed by Callaway Mills, retired from Milliken and Company, and served as a boiler room operator for the Calumet Division. Survivors include his sons, David Aldridge of LaGrange, Terry and Debra Aldridge of Hogansville; son in-law, Jerry McRae of LaGrange; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emma Jo Morris of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Denny Aldridge, and his daughters, Cathy McWaters and Diane McRae. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 24, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
