Charles Franklin "Frankie" Williams, Sr., 60, of Newnan, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on February 20, 1965, Frankie was known for his quick wit, charm, and incredible sense of humor. A true country boy, he entered the wrecker business at 18 and later founded Williams Wrecker Service in Newnan, which he proudly ran for 31 years. Hardworking and determined, he earned the trust of countless families in his community.
Frankie loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his boys. Even through illness, his humor, grit, and faith never wavered. With remarkable strength, he remained present, hopeful, and determined until the very end. He will be remembered for his wit and humor, kindness, and enduring spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Franklin Williams, Jr. (Amanda) of Franklin, and Jeremy Kyle Williams of Dublin; grandchildren, Charles Franklin Williams III and Nadia Nicole Williams; great-grandson, Grady Briggs Williams; his mother, Linda Worthy of Bremen; sisters, Susan Harden of McDonough, Anita Buffington of Douglasville, Donna Adams of Newnan; brother, Robert Worthy of Bremen; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Donald Williams; and his beloved step-father, Gerold M. Worthy.
The family will receive friends for visitation and viewing from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 9, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.
