Mr. Charles Allen Shelnutt, 61, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019, at Hospice LaGrange. Mr. Shelnutt was born April 20, 1958, in Heard County, son of the late Mallory and Rachel Folds Shelnutt. A resident of Hogansville for a number of years, he was Baptist by faith and had been employed at Uniroyal, Inc. and West Georgia Textiles. Mr. Shelnutt loved to hunt and fish. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Jessica and Michael Barnett of Hogansville; sons and daughters in-law, Daniel and Christina Shelnutt of Whitesburg, Jeremy and Marcia Royster of Hogansville; sister, Sara Jean Douglas of Hogansville; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jeremy Royster officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 4 Tuesday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
