MR. RICHARD PARKER
Mr. Charles Richard Parker, 61, of Hogansville, died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at his home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 11, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Burt Parker and the Reverend Melanie Stanley-Soulen officiating.
Mr. Parker was born June 21, 1948, in LaGrange, and lived in Coweta County before returning to Hogansville eight years ago. He was a graduate of Hogansville High School, West Georgia College, and Mercer University School of Pharmacy, and was a practicing pharmacist for over 35 years. He attended Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in the Lone Oak Community.
Survivors include his sons and daughters in-law, Burt and Joy Parker of Warthen, Kirby and Christina Parker of Montgomery, AL, and Chad Parker of LaGrange; his mother, Dorothy Norris Parker of Hogansville; brothers, Perry Parker, Jr. and his wife, Mary Ann, of Atlanta and Jack Parker and his wife, Peggy, of Hogansville; and ten grandchildren, Gabe, Caleb, Rose, Lizzie, Kate, Ruby, Ryan, Evan, Malachi, and Lottie. He was preceded in death by his father, James Perry Parker.
