Charles R. Littlefield

Mr. Charles R. "PeeWee" Littlefield, 93, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at his home. Mr. Littlefield was born January 14, 1928, in Heard County, son of the late Troy and Gertrude Shirey Littlefield. He served one year in the U.S. Navy then joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served 35 years prior to his retirement as a Technical Sergeant. Before returning to Hogansville to make his home, he lived in Marietta for 50 years and was employed in Civil Service at Dobbins Air Force Base. Mr. Littlefield was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Hogansville and enjoyed tinkering on cars. Survivors include his wife, Melba Littlefield of Hogansville; grandchildren, Kristian Littlefield, Addam Littlefield and his wife Christine, and Amy Satterfield; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Layton Littlefield. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, November 14, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jerome Wood will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
