Charles Harmon, Jr.

Mr. Charles Harmon, Jr., 79 of Newnan, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, at his home.

Born March 17, 1945, in Newnan, Mr. Harmon was the son of the late Charles Harmon, Sr. and Juanita Tuggle Burnett. He was a resident of Coweta County most of his life and was an Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. Mr. Harmon was a cosmetologist and worked at various salons for 25 years. A happy and positive person, Mr. Harmon loved to make others laugh and enjoyed being with friends and family.

Survivors include his daughter, Greta McMillen of Orlando, FL; son, Jeff Harmon of Panama City Beach, FL; grandchildren, Seth McMillen, Brady McMillen, Justin Harmon, and Kristen Harmon; great-grandchildren, Ellie Weaver, Carson Roberson, Justus Harmon, Lexi Harmon, and Ava Harmon; and his friend and former wife, Elaine Harmon of Grantville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by his grandmother who raised him, Nellie Tuggle.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Harmon will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help cover Mr. Harmon's funeral expenses.
