Charles L. Gardiner

Mr. Charles L. Gardiner, 80, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mr. Gardiner was born September 21, 1942, in Cody, Nebraska, son of the late Ralph Gardiner and Opal Homan Gardiner. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he was a former resident of Hapeville and lived in Luthersville for fifteen years before making his home in LaGrange in 2017. He retired as an information technology engineer from IBM and from Delta Airlines.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth A. Gardiner of LaGrange; daughter and son in-law, Janet and Vince Gessler of Peachtree City; six grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Gardiner was preceded in death by his daughters, Kathy Anne Napoletan and Terri Denise Cooper; and his eight sisters and brothers.

The family will plan a memorial service at a later time.
