MRS. CHARLCIE YARBROUGH
Mrs. Charlcie M. Yarbrough, 77, of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gainesville, with the Reverend Don Ormsbee officiating. Graveside services will be Sunday, April 6, at 2:00 p.m., in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
Mrs. Yarbrough was born in Coweta county, to the late Willie Maude (Duncan) Yarbrough. She grew up in Hogansville and graduated with honors from Hogansville High School. In her 60s, she earned a technical degree in business from Troup Tech. She taught Sunday School at Antioch Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church in Hogansville and Cabin Creek Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Franklin. While living at Limestone Heritage Nursing Center she also led a weekly Bible Study.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Henry Lamar Veal, Winston Salem, NC, and Sharon and Mike Hunt, Pine Mountain; sons and daughters-in-law, Daryl and Linda Yarbrough, LaGrange and David and Teresa Yarbrough, Gainesville; grandchildren, Chris and Jacqueline Veal, Winston Salem, NC, Kim and Ethan Gable, Douglasville, Ned and Kathy Crutchfield, Pine Mountain, Heather Parks, Canton, Bear Yarbrough, Lynchburg, VA; great-grandsons, Michael Cook and Ryan Crutchfield. She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, Paul Yarbrough; cousins, Rudine and Thomas Williamson; aunts and uncle, Lizzie Bradbury, Ida Lou Haynes, Lois and Georgia Duncan.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Compassionate Hospice 2565 Thompson Bridge Road Gainesville, GA 30501; or Smithgall Woods Animal Shelter 4823 Highway 75 North, Sautee, GA 30571.
