MR. CECIL D. POLLARD Mr. Cecil Denson Pollard, 80, of Greenville, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 24, at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, with Jon Pollard officiating. Born September 15, 1929, in Randolph County, AL, Mr. Pollard was the son of the late Auby and Zula Stewart Pollard. He lived in Troup County most of his life and retired as a trainer from the Dunson Division West Point Pepperell Manufacturing Co. Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Roger and Pat Pollard of Greenville; sister, Sue Smith of Roanoke, AL; brother, Leonard Pollard of Wedowee, AL; four grandchildren, Paul Pollard of Howarth, NJ, Jon Pollard of Winder, Matthew Pollard of Newnan, Summer Gigeous of Raleigh, NC; and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Pollard was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Burgess Pollard; and his daughter, Delene Pollard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Rd., LaGrange, GA 30240. Claude A.
