Cathy Gaddy Masdon

Mrs. Cathy Gaddy Masdon, 68, of Grantville, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Mrs. Masdon was born July 10, 1954, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Harvey Cleveland Gaddy and Abbie Paschal Gaddy. She was a resident of Grantville most of her life and was employed as a seamstress prior to her retirement. Along with her sister, she enjoyed helping run Aces & Eights Poker Tournaments for a number of years.

Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Stacie and Blake Griffin of Grantville; sister, Brenda Brown of LaGrange; grandchildren, Courtney Griffin, Cody Griffin and his wife Shaina, Brianna Johnson, Cameisha Masdon, Alicia Masdon; and great-grandchildren, Amia, Angel, Jayce, and Nevaeh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eugene "Gene" Masdon; daughter, Sandra Nicole "Nikki" Masdon; sister, Betty Gaddy Cooper; brother, James William "Bill" Gaddy; and sisters in-law, Virginia Masdon Boswell and Carol Masdon Howard.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Barney Howard and Dr. Tommy McLeroy officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday.
