Cathy Beckom Fannin

MRS. CATHY BECKOM FANNIN Mrs. Cathy Beckom Fannin, 67, of Newnan, passed away, Thursday, October 9, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Fannin was born April 17, 1947, in Newnan, daughter of the late Hewlette and Orrie Attaway Beckom. A resident of Coweta and Fayette counties most of her life, she retired as administrative assistant to the executive director of Clayton Mental Health Service following 30 years of service. She was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church. Survivors include the father of her children, Cery Fannin; daughter, Christy Fannin of Athens; son, Cery Fannin, Jr. of Senoia; sisters, Geneta Lowry of Ormond Beach, FL, Linda Fleming of Roswell; and grandchildren, Austin Fannin, Caitlyn Fannin, Andrew Fannin, Aidan Fannin, and MacKenzie Fannin. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Pat Latta and the Reverend Frank Powers will officiate and interment will be in Southview Cemetery in Moreland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 Sunday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
