MRS. CATHERINE PLANT Mrs. Catherine Roberts Plant, 92, of Grantville, died Friday, November 23, 2012, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jay Moore will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Born November 9, 1920, in Calhoun County, Alabama, Mrs. Plant was the daughter of the late Edward and Molly Odom Roberts. She moved to Grantville with her parents in 1925, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grantville, and retired from Grantville Mills after approximately 40 years of service. She was the wife of the late William Tommy Plant. Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Mike and Rosla Plant of Greenville; grandchildren, Amy Plant of Newnan, Angie Murphy and her husband Clint, of Moreland, Carla Yeager and her husband Cory, of Sharpsburg; great-grandchildren, Garrett Murphy, Anna Marie Murphy, Claire Yeager, Caroline Yeager, and Carson Yeager; and several nieces and nephews. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8, Sunday night, November 25th, at Claude A.
