MRS. CATHERINE ALDRIDGE Mrs. Catherine Denny Aldridge, 78, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at West Georgia Medical Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Charles Chapman will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. Mrs. Aldridge was born July 3, 1931, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late John Thomas Denny and the late Myrle Jeter Denny. She lived in Troup County most of her life, was a member of Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange, and retired from the Duncan Stewaart Division of Milliken and Company. Survivors include her husband, Cecil Aldridge of LaGrange; daughter and son in-law, Diane and Jerry McRae, of LaGrange; sons and daughter in-law, David Aldridge of LaGrange and Terry and Debra Aldridge of Hogansville; son in-law, Jimmy McWaters of LaGrange; sisters, Roberta Garrett and Linda Boyd, both of LaGrange; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy McWaters. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
