CAROLYN PATRICIA WOODARD Mrs. Carolyn Patricia Woodard, 68, of LaGrange, died Monday, January 20, 2014, at Gentiva Hospice at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25 in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend M. L. Rigsby will officiate and interment will be in the Keith Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Mrs. Woodard was born March 1, 1945, in Rome, daughter of the late Cicero and Katharine Haney Chastain. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she owned and operated Pat's Grocery for many years, while raising her two daughters. She was a member of Wehadkee Baptist Church and was a former member of the Troup County Saddle Club. She was a friend to everyone and was the best friend to her two daughters, who considered her to be the most fabulous mother. Survivors include her husband, Carl Woodard; daughters and son in-law, Latricia and Andy Weatherford, and Tracy Flory, all of LaGrange; brother, Gene Chastain of Palmetto; and grandchildren, Sydney, Shelby, Ashley, and Travis. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Friday night, January 24th, at Claude A.
