Mrs. Carolyn Carter Lane, 81, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Lane was born January 6, 1939, in Carroll County, daughter of the late Leon and Zelma Whitehead Carter. A resident of Troup County for forty years, she was a homemaker and a member of Springhill Baptist Church. She loved flower-gardening and enjoyed maintaining her home and working in her yard. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Lane of Hogansville; daughters, Cindy Denise O'Neal and her husband Wayne of Newnan, and Shelby Lynn Alexander of Hogansville; sister, Elaine Denton of Tullahoma, Tennessee; grandchildren, Olivia Regan Boggs and Sylvia Nicole O'Neal; and a great-grandson, Brantley Ray Boggs. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Frank Sledge officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Thursday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
