MRS. CAROLYN S. HAMMOND Mrs. Carolyn Strickland Hammond, 71, of Hogansville, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at her home. he funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Dwayne Perdue and the The Mrs. Hammond was born November 15, 1942, in Newnan, daughter of the late James Archer Strickland and Mildred Abner Strickland. She was raised in Luthersville, had lived in Hogansville since 1959, and retired from Playtex International in Newnan after 29 years of service. She was a member of Mountville Baptist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Mark and Kerry Hammond of Hogansville; sister and brother in-law, Eloise and Harry Gann of Luthersville; brother and sister in-law, James and Ellen Strickland of Luthersville; grandchildren, Jonathan Hammond and Toree Hammond; and great-granddaughter, Ariel Hammond. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Marion Hammond; and sons, James Michael Hammond and Marion Kim Hammond. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
