MRS. CAROLYN BROWN Mrs. Carolyn Purgason Brown, 54, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, February 28, 2008, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 2, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jody Mitchell officiating. Mrs. Brown was born June 22, 1954, in Troup county, daughter of the late George and Beatrice Haynes Purgason. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, had lived in Fayetteville for a number of years, and was the wife of the late Larry K. Brown. Survivors include her daughter, Brandi Brown; her sons, Jamie Brown and Derrek Brown, all of Fayetteville; sister, Sally Kee of Hogansville; brothers and sisters in-law, George and JoAnn Purgason, Marvin and Mattie Purgason, all of Hogansville, James and Sherry Purgason of LaGrange; grandson, William Adams of Fayetteville; mother in-law, Dorothy Brown; and brother in-law, Tommy and Connie Brown, of Palmetto. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 2:30 until 4:00 Monday afternoon, March 2nd, at Claude A.
