Carol J. Hayden

Mrs. Carol J. Hayden, 96, of Union City, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Christian City Convalescent Center. Mrs. Hayden was born January 17, 1925, in Fulton County, daughter of the late James Andrew Powell and Jessie Maude Wilson Powell. A retired secretary, she lived in the northeastern United States for a number of years before returning to the Atlanta area, and lived in Luthersville prior to making her home at Christian City's Sparks Inn. Survivors include her daughters, Kim Myers of Woodstock, Dorinda Britt of Marshfield, MA; brothers, Duane Hayden of Braintree, MA, Brian Hayden of Cartersville; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be conducted in the Spring of 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
