Carla Joyce Couch

Carla Joyce Couch, 59, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Mrs. Couch was born September 7, 1965, in Atlanta and lived most of her life in Coweta, Meriwether, and Heard counties. She attended Solid Rock Baptist Church in Newnan, was an animal lover, and enjoyed arts, crafts, and scrap-booking. Carla is remembered as a tender-hearted and giving person, who enjoyed maintaining contact with her elderly and shut-in friends in order to assist them and to encourage them.

Survivors include her mother, Brenda Armstrong of Franklin; husband, Marty Ruppe of Newnan; sons, Christopher Bowen (Michele) of Greenville, Mark Devereaux of Phenix City, AL, Tyler Hendrix (Sarah) of Griffin. Cody Ruppe (Emily) of Senoia; and grandchildren, Gabriella Goldstein, Gianna Goldstein, Loukas Ruppe, Addelyn Ruppe, Lincoln Hendrix, Layla Hendrix. She was preceded in death by her father, Buford Couch, and her brother, Ronald Couch.

The family will receive friends for visitation and viewing from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 1, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.

Plans for a memorial gathering at her mother's home to celebrate Carla's life will be announced.
