Carey Justiss Tucker

MRS. CAREY J. TUCKER Mrs. Carey Justiss Tucker, 69, of Newnan, passed away, Monday, June 15, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Tucker was born June 2, 1946, in Langdale, Alabama, daughter of the late L. L. (Red) Justiss and Buena Coulter Justiss. A resident of Newnan since 1982, she retired from the Benefits and Pension Department of the City of Atlanta after many years of service and was a member of Welcome Road Baptist Church in Newnan. She had a great love for her family and always made a special effort to be present to support her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her brothers, Marc and Dorothy Justiss, Emery and Pat Justiss, all of Valley, AL; very dear friends who were grandchildren in her heart, Stephanie, Scott, Hope, Owen, William, Rebekah and Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. (Bill) Tucker. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Rhys Key and the Reverend Dan Odom will officiate and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Valley, AL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 Thursday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
