MR. CALVIN H. BREED Mr. Calvin Hooper Breed, 87, of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether county, died Friday, May 2, 2008, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 4, at Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Lone Oak. The Reverend Melanie Stanley-Soulen will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Breed was born October 23, 1920, in Roanoke, Alabama, son of the late Lewis Bradley Breed and the late Maggie Turner Breed. An Army veteran of World War Two, he lived in the Hogansville area most of his life and retired from Uniroyal, Inc. He was a member of Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Lone Oak. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Vivian Nelson Breed of Lone Oak; and several nieces and nephews. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
