C. V. (Shorty) Hendrix

MR. C. V. HENDRIX Mr. C. V. (Shorty) Hendrix, 85, of Grantville, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Milton Hall will officiate and interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Mr. Hendrix was born July 19, 1927, in Ranburne, Alabama, son of the late John Thomas Hendrix and Lela Fullilove Hendrix. He lived in Coweta County most of his life, was Baptist by faith, and was a retired roofing contractor. Survivors include his daughters and sons in-law, Shirley and Clark Hornsby of Camden, SC, Joyce Johnson of Columbia, SC, Patsy and Jimmy Hubbard of Hogansville; sons and daughter in-law, Roger and Margie Hendrix, James Hendrix, and Johnny Hendrix, all of Newnan; sister, Helen Mae Buchanan of Newnan; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Steele Hendrix. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Friday night, May 3rd, at Claude A.
