Brenda Vessell Williamson

Mrs. Brenda Vessell Williamson, 65, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Williamson was born October 5, 1952, in Coweta County, daughter of the late Johnnie and Virginia Hawk Vessell. A lifelong resident of the Hogansville area, she was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gospel music, shopping, and cooking, but the most important part of her life was providing loving care to her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Larry Williamson; daughter and son in-law, Donna and Scott Brown of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Jamie and Jennifer Williamson of Newnan; brother and sister in-law, Rocky and Viki Vessell, of Hogansville; and grandchildren, Hope Moon, Colton Williamson, Annabelle Williamson; great-granddaughter, Leigha Moon; sister in-law, Brenda and Richard Hampson; brother in-law, Donnie and Sherry Williamson; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, at Bible Baptist Church. The Reverend Lynn Janney, the Reverend Eddie Perry and the Reverend Jerome Wood will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
