Brenda Kay Thompkinson

Mrs. Brenda Kay Thompkinson, 70, of Grantville, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at her home.

Mrs. Thompkinson was born June 17, 1952, in Topeka, Kansas, lived most of her life in Gilmer, TX and, in her later years, in Grantville, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thompkinson of Grantville. She retired from Wal-Mart, and enjoyed doing for her family, flower gardening, and especially loved making others happy.

Survivors include her daughter, Amber Willingham of Grantville; grandchildren, Kaite Smith, Wyatt Smith, Lilly Willingham; and a great-granddaughter, Karsen, due to arrive in November. She is also survived by her mother, Sue Taylor; and sisters and brothers, DeeDee and Garrett Boyd, Pattie and David Carlisle all of Texas, Fred and Genie Leatherwood of Oklahoma, Samuel "William" Jackson, Craig and Shelly Taylor, Mike and Judy Taylor, Johnny and Karen Taylor all of Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Harlo Vernon "Pete" Taylor.

The family is planning a memorial gathering to be held at her home.
