Brenda Fields Gay

Mrs. Brenda Fields Gay, 76, of Greenville passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at her home.

Mrs. Gay was born May 23, 1947, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Edna Tarwater Fields and Milton Jasper Fields. A resident of Meriwether County for more than forty years, she was a longtime member and Sunday School teacher at Stovall Baptist Church. She loved taking care of her family, enjoyed eating out and dancing, and loved animals

Survivors include her sister, Judy Savage of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Gay; and her son, Wayne Lamar "Bo" Gay.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 19, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Prestridge will officiate and interment will be in Pine Mountain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.
