Brenda Banks Gann

Mrs. Brenda Banks Gann, 76, of Luthersville, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at Sacred Journey Hospice in Newnan.

Mrs. Gann was born October 25, 1946, in Newnan, daughter of the late Willie Theo Steele and Patsy Elizabeth Thrower Steele. A resident of Luthersville for the past six years, she lived in Coweta County most of her life, was a member of Miracle Way Baptist Church in Senoia and was a former member of Family Worship Center in Hogansville. Mrs. Gann was a homemaker most of her life and loved caring for her family, but also enjoyed working as a caregiver for child day care.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Harry Gann of Luthersville; her children, Larry Banks, Jr. of Wedowee, AL, Theresa Patterson (Brian) of Luthersville, Kevin Banks (Kelley) of Newnan, Joel Banks (Dana) of Franklin; sister, Sylvia White of Whitesburg; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Steele and sister, Elaine Bearden.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend James Calhoun and the Reverend Jonathan Hannah will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
