Brenda S. Abercrombie

Mrs. Brenda S. Abercrombie, 70, of LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Abercrombie was born November 1, 1954, in Copperhill, TN, daughter of the late Franklin Leonard Rhodes and Frankie Mae Green Rhodes. A resident of LaGrange for the past four years, she lived in Blue Ridge most of her life, where she had been employed as a certified nursing assistant. She loved reading her Bible, was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, and enjoyed listening to classic rock n' roll music.

Survivors include her sister, Norma Johnson of Griffin; brothers, Terry Rhodes of Chatsworth, Kerry Rhodes of Griffin; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eugene; her long-time companion, Eugene Collie; brother, Jerry Rhodes; and her sister, Joann Rhodes Rice.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 13, at Springhill Baptist Church, with the Reverend Jody Mitchell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Sunday, prior to the service.
