Mr. Brannon L. Davis, 48, of Gay, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017, of injuries received in an auto accident near Warm Springs. Born October 12, 1969, in Atlanta, Mr. Davis was the son of the late Jonathan Sibley Davis and the late Wanda Wilson Davis. He lived in Meriwether County most of his life and was a member of Luthersville United Methodist Church. He had served as a paramedic since 1988 and was employed by DeKalb County Fire Rescue and by Meriwether Fire and EMS. Survivors include his aunt, Dana Brown of Luthersville and her husband Bobby, their daughters Brandey Brown, Elizabeth Brown and Rachel Brown, and their grandchildren Jonathan Brown and Abigail Brown. Brannon is also loved and remembered by many friends from many parts of the world. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, at Luthersville United Methodist Church. The Reverend Michael McFarlin will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery, with fire service honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
