Mr. Brandon L. Thomas, 45, of LaGrange, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, of injuries received in a trucking accident in Muskogee, OK.
Mr. Thomas was born September 7, 1978, in Cincinnati, OH, and was a longtime resident of Heard and Troup counties. He was employed as a driver for Vaughan Xpress in LaGrange and was a member of Change Church in Grantville, where he was active in the prison ministry and the Faith Riders Motorcycle ministry. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on cars, and attending car and motorcycle shows. He also enjoyed visiting Gulf Shores, Al and Pigeon Forge, TN, but he especially loved being with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Thomas of LaGrange; son, Joshua Thomas and his wife Morgan, also of LaGrange; step-daughter, Ashley McChargue of Hogansville; three step-grandchildren; his mother, Mary Thomas of Mableton; and his sister, Cortney Thomas of Bradenton, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, George Randall Thomas.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor T J Boyd will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday.
