Mr. Brady A. Toney, 84, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Toney was born October 11, 1939, in Heard County, son of the late Samuel Ernest Toney and Annie Ruth May Toney. A resident of Troup County most of his life, he retired as a fixer from the Elm City Division of Milliken and Company after thirty years of service and was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Hogansville. He enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and gardening, and especially loved growing flowers.
Survivors include his sons, Donald Toney of Hogansville, Karl Toney of LaGrange, Michael Toney of Hogansville, Milton and Whitney Toney of LaGrange; step-son Andy and Renee Burke of Pine Mountain; daughter in-law, Anne Burke of LaGrange; sister, Jeanette Teague of Douglasville; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Caldwell Toney; step-son, Danny Burke; grandson, Mason Toney; sister, Annie Kate Foster; his twin brother, Grady C. Toney; and his other brothers, Harold J. Toney, Samuel Phillip Toney, Quillian E. Toney, Joe Wallace Toney, and James Lamar Toney.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 9, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randy Dunlap and the Reverend Aaron McCollough will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8.
