MRS. BONNIE S. JACKSON Mrs. Bonnie Staples Jackson, 84, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Jackson was born November 8, 1930, in Carroll County, daughter of the late J. P. and Flora Eley Staples. Before making her home in LaGrange in 1996, she lived in Hogansville most of her life, retired after many years of service as bookkeeper for Sprayberry Hardware and Crawford Hardware, was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and had been active in the WMU. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch, piecing quilts, and shopping for antiques. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Brenda and Randy McWhorter of Hogansville; son, Barry Jackson of LaGrange; sisters and brother in-law, Betty Jo Hamby, Pam and Elmer Williams all of Hogansville; granddaughters and their husbands, Angie and John Hillier, Paula and Bryan Norton, Kelly and Tim Freeman, Karen and Jordan Barnett; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Deward Jackson; and her brother, Duane Staples. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, June 14, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Her great-grandson, Colby Freeman will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Saturday night, June 13th, at Claude A.
