Mrs.. Bonnell Kidd Dorrough, 95, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the home of her daughter in Pooler.
Mrs. Dorrough was born December 10, 1921, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Thomas and Lucile Burson Kidd. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, she had been employed at Uniroyal, Inc. and at Playtex International, was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was a former longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Bonnie Sue Arrington of Hogansville, Darla and R. C. Davis of Pooler, Brenda and Mark Lanning of Garland, TX; sons and daughters in-law, Larry and Bobbie Dorrough, Tommy Dorrough, Lance and Debi Dorrough, all of Hogansville; sisters and brothers in-law, Loneda Hobbs of Rising Star, TX, Melba and Charles Littlefield, Nadine and Howell Spradlin, all of Hogansville; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Austin Dorrough.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jerome Wood and the Reverend Charles Redmond will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night.
