MR. BOBBY D. THAXTON Mr. Bobby D. Thaxton, 65, of Luthersville, died Monday, April 13, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16, at Moreland United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. David Brackman will officiate, and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery. Mr. Thaxton was born December 24, 1943, in Newnan, son of the late Grady and Annie Ruth Yarbrough Thaxton. He was employed as a loader operator and truck driver most of his life and had owned and operated Thaxton Auto Body Shop in Luthersville. He had lived in Luthersville since 1975, was a Mason, and was a member of Moreland United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Thaxton of Luthersville; daughters and sons in-law, Jenny and Barry Hobby of West Point, Julie and Eugene Newton of Senoia, Bobbi Jo and Jody Johnson of Molena, and Adena and Sam Toney of Hogansville; sister and brother in-law, Opal and Willard Mann of Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Tuesday, April 14th, and Wednedsay, April 15th, at Claude A.
