MR. HAYWARD SMITH Mr. Bobby Hayward Smith, 61, of Grantville, died Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Eddie Veal officiating. Mr. Smith was born January 4, 1949, in Newnan, son of the late Robert Hayward Smith and the late Elizabeth Helton Smith Stephens. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, was a member of Louise Baptist Church, and was a retired heating and air-conditioning service technician. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, survivors include his wife, Barbara Smith of Grantville; daughters and son in-law, Janine and Joseph Smith and Teresa Smith Potts, all of Grantville; son and daughter in -law, Michael and Donna Smith of Palmetto; brother, Eurvin L. Smith of Loganville; and grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Kayla Smith, Matthew Smith, Robert Smith, Bailey Shaw, Ryan Shaw and Chloe Shaw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Earlene Smith, and brother, Larry G. Smith, Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Claude A.
