Bobby Eugene Norton

Mr. Bobby E. Norton, 74, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Born June 18, 1947, in LaGrange, Mr. Norton was a son of the late Ernest Paul Norton and Minnie Elizabeth Gay Norton. He served in the U.S. Army, was a Vietnam War veteran, had been a member of the VFW, and was a Past Commander of Post 75 of the American Legion in LaGrange. He retired as a driver for HUB Trucking and enjoyed playing poker and participating in poker tournaments. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Norton of LaGrange; sons, Bryan Norton and his wife Paula Norton of Carrollton, Hank Burke and his wife Angie Burke of LaGrange; daughter, Stacie Burke and her wife Lisa Burke of LaGrange; step-sons, Danny Williams and his wife Lexie of Hampton, VA, Joshua East and Miranda of Smith Station, AL; fifteen grandchildren; sister, Mary Alice Lynch of LaGrange; and brother, Ernest Norton also of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his son Jeremy "Jay" Norton. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Bryan Geter will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 Monday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
