Mrs. Bobbie Jean Pickrell Rowe, 84, of the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at her home.
Born October 11, 1931 in Seagoville, TX, Mrs. Rowe was the daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia Grubbs Pickrell. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she served as director of WMU for a number of years, bible school director, and sung in the choir.
Survivors include a son and daughter in-law, John and Deborah Rowe of Fayetteville; daughter and son in-law, Janet and Larry Legendre, Jr. of Sugar Land, TX; sisters and brothers in-law, Janie Jackson of Lewisville, TX, Elnora and Curtis Barnard of Euless, TX, and Sara and J.W. Wheat of Denton TX; grandchildren, Brittney Rowe, Trent Legendre and his wife Amanda, Jessica Legendre, and David Wayne Rowe; step-grandchild, Courtney Storey; and a great-grandson, Ryland Legendre. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Ralph Rowe; daughter, Rebecca Jean Rowe; son, David Wayne Rowe; step-grandson, Brandon Storey; and a brother, Lloyd Pickrell.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at Bethel Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. The Reverend Joe Watson will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
