MR. BILLY R. RILEY Mr. Billy R. Riley, 78, of Hogansville, died Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, at Grace Covenant Worship Center in Hogansville. Pastor Alex Montgomery will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, with military honors. Mr. Riley was born August 5, 1930, in Newville, Alabama, son of the late Benis Leon Riley and the late Modena Medley Riley. He was salutatorian of the 1948 graduating class of Abbeville (Ala.) High School, and served twenty years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1971 as a Technical Sergeant. A resident of Hogansville since 1971, he also retired from Uniroyal, Inc. after 25 years service and attended Grace Covenant Worship Center. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ramsey Riley of Hogansville; daughters and sons in-law, Dena and Terry Stephens of Mountville and Cindy and Chris Hubbard of Russellville, Ark.; two grandchildren, Brad and Sandra Stephens of Hogansville and Ray McGaughey of Russellville; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob Stephens and Dylan Stephens. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Friday night, May 8th at Claude A.
