Billy Ray Hamilton

MR. BILLY HAMILTON Mr. Billy Ray Hamilton, 51, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015, at West Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Hamilton was born January 4, 1964 in LaGrange, and lived in Meriwether County all of his life. A former employee of West Point Pepperell Manufacturing Company, he was Baptist by faith, enjoyed flower gardening, and was a former volunteer for the Meriwether County Fire Department. Survivors include his son, Billy James Hamilton; his mother, Peggy Keith Hamilton; brothers, James Robert Hamilton and his wife Teresa, Homer Eugene Hamilton, Jimmy Lee Hamilton and his wife Diana, John Dewey Hamilton, all of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Freeman Hamilton, and his father, James Dewey Hamilton. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Dwayne Perdue and the Reverend Max McCord will officiate and interment will be in the Mountville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
