Billy C. Cosper, Jr.

Mr. Billy Cosper, Jr., 70, of Hogansville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 21, 2021, from Atlanta Medical Center. Mr. Cosper was born May 6, 1950, in LaGrange, son of the late Billy and Patsy Brown Cosper. A graduate of LaGrange College, he retired as operations manager from Glovis-Georgia in 2016, and was a member of Callaway Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and usher. Billy enjoyed working in his yard, loved to play golf, and had worked in the pro-shop at Callaway Gardens following his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Becky Cosper of Hogansville; his sisters and brother, Susan Brown of Prairieville, LA, Steve Cosper of LaGrange, Kathy Oliver of LaGrange; special sister in-law and brother in-law, Jennifer and Chris Knight of Hogansville; and a number of nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Brooke Oliver, Kristin Oliver, Carlyanne Knight and special nephew, Tyler Knight. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Cosper. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 27, at Callaway Baptist Church in LaGrange. The Reverend Brad Thompson will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at Callaway Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Callaway Baptist Church Mission Fund are Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
