Betty J. Wright

Mrs. Betty Jean Wright, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Wright was born March 28, 1931, in Troup County, daughter of the late Sim Austin Dorrough and Annie Ruth Dorrough. A former resident of Hogansville, she lived in LaGrange for sixty years and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Crow and her husband Doug Crow of Hogansville and their daughters, Tammy Crow, Bobbi J. Crow, and Cathy Vines; and her daughter in-law, Lil Wright of Hogansville and her daughters, Shelly Hendrix and Sherry Oglesby. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Wright and her son Robert Wayne Wright, and is also survived by her sister, Helen Norton of Fairburn, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 26, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jody Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Monday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
