Mrs. Betty Scott Worley, 76, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Worley was born September 5, 1944, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Odell Bates Scott and Willis Richard Scott, who died in World War Two. She was a pastor's wife and assisted her late husband, Reverend Hubert L. Worley as he served churches in the West Georgia and East Alabama area for more than 30 years. Mrs. Worley enjoyed Bible study, teaching Sunday School, and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed making memories with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Richard Scott Worley of LaGrange, Tracy and Matt Smith of Hogansville, Sherrie and Brandon Fetner of LaGrange; brother, Ray and Hazel Scott of Panama City Beach, FL; grandchildren, Ethan Worley, Maegan Worley, Jordan Smith, Drew Smith and his fiancée Katelyn Honea, Sarah Beth Smith, Seth Smith and his fiancée Robin Whitmire, Caleb Fetner and his wife Cloie Fetner, and Eryn Fetner; a great-grandson, Clanton Alexander Locke. In addition to her mother, father, and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Rex Scott.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, with the Reverend Brad Thompson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Callaway Baptist Church in LaGrange.
