Betty Sellers White

Mrs. Betty S. White, 81, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at Pruitt Healthcare in Greenville. Mrs. White was born February 2, 1936, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Richard Sellers and Leila Hale Sellers Birdsong. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she retired from Bank of America after many years of service. She enjoyed genealogy and did vast family research, but also devoted a lot of her retirement years to caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her grandchildren, David Noles and Corrie Martinez, both of LaGrange, and Victor Hugo Lopez, whom she thought of as a grandson; great-grandchildren, Teara Martinez, Jeanet Martinez, and Jessica Martinez; and several cousins, including Jackie Cook of LaGrange and Ronald W. Horton, Sr. of Atlanta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tillman White, and daughter, Cathy Noles. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
