MRS. BETTY SPINKS Mrs. Betty Hubbard Spinks, 80, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Spinks was born December 13, 1934, in Thomaston, daughter of the late Trummer and Ethel Smoot Hubbard. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was a graduate of Hogansville High School, was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, and was a longtime member of the Hogansville Pilot Club. She retired as a branch manager after being employed by Fulton Federal Savings and Loan, Newnan Savings Bank, and BB&T in Hogansville. Survivors include her husband, Joe Spinks of Hogansville; daughters, Stacy Spinks of Hogansville, Angie and David Caudillo of Indian Trail, NC; son, Joey and Sheila Spinks of Hogansville; sister, Dorothy and Buddy Patterson of Cusseta; sister in-law, Jane Hubbard of Hogansville; and grandchildren, Anna Wilkerson, Chandler Wilkerson, Mac Spinks and his wife Hannah, Karsin Spinks, and Cameron Spinks. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin Hubbard and Paul (PeeWee) Hubbard; and sisters and brothers in-law, Jeanette and Don Wagner, Shelby and Raymond Hanson, Patsy and Buck Bonner. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 1, at Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville. The Reverend Alan Kirk will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Wednesday night, September 30th, at Claude A.
