Betty Jean Rabun

January 16, 1941 — December 1, 2017

Mrs. Betty Jean Rabun, 76 of Hogansville, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017, at her home. Born January 16, 1941, Mrs. Rabun was the daughter of the late Robert Talley and Lillie Belle Dyer Terry. She had lived in Hogansville for 40 years, was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, and retired after 22 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant from West Georgia Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Dewey Rabun of Hogansville; daughter and son in-law, PJ and Jim Elliston of LaGrange; son, Jason Steele of Hogansville; daughter in-law, Katy Rabun of LaGrange; grandchildren, Drew Elliston, Kenzie Elliston, James and Pam Rabun, Michael and Mileigh Rabun, Matt Rabun, and Liz Rabun; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Rabun, Piper Rabun, and Benjamin Rabun. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rabun was preceded in death by her son, Clint Rabun; brother, Charles Talley; and sister, Katherine Waters. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Dunlap will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 4 Sunday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
