Betty L. Perkins

Mrs. Betty L. Perkins, 84, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mrs. Perkins was born September 12, 1934, in Washington, D.C, daughter of the late Alfred and Kelso Stewart Sontag. A resident of the Washington area for many years, she had made her home in Hogansville since 1983 and was a member of Corinth United Methodist Church. She loved collecting antiques and was very proud of her collection. Survivors include her husband, Rufus F. (Buck) Perkins of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Keith Perkins and Carolyn Prince of Hogansville; brother, Alfred Sontag, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Richard Campbell and the Reverend Harvey Bane officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 Wednesday afternoon.
