Betty Jo Mccann

Mrs. Betty Jo McCann, 81, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. McCann was born June 18, 1943, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Evelyn Daniel Murray. A resident of LaGrange most of her life, she retired from the Dixie Division of West Point Pepperell after more than 25 years of service. She was a loving wife and mother, and supported her four sons in all their activities and especially in softball.

Survivors include her sons, Tommy McCann (Deborah), Terry McCann, Timmy McCann, Tony McCann (Ashley), all of LaGrange; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; her brother, Danny Murray (Ann) of Franklin; and brother in-law, Charles Kee of LaGrange. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ferrell McCann; her sister, Carolyn Kee; and her great-grandson, Wade Ferrell McCann.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend James Calhoun and the Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12.
