Betty Lowe Gunnin

Mrs. Betty Lowe Gunnin, 85, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Gunnin was born January 20, 1931, in Cherokee County, daughter of the late Sylvester and Maryann Thompson Lowe. A resident of Meriwether County for 44 years, she retired from Eckerd Distribution Center in Newnan after more than twenty years of service. She and her late husband, E.T. (Gene) Gunnin loved to square-dance and enjoyed visiting casinos. Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Robin and Celia Gunnin of Greenville, Randy and Vickie Gunnin of Luthersville, Ryan (George) and Vicki Gunnin of Tyrone; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Raymond Gunnin officiating. An inurnment service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Sunday afternoon. Claude A.
