MRS. BETTY M. DUFFEY Mrs. Betty McCollum Duffey, 80, of Blairsville and formerly of Hogansville, died Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Stonehenge Assisted Living Center in Blairsville. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Kenneth Kulp and the Reverend Perry Duffey will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Born June 15, 1930, in Coweta County, Mrs. Duffey was the daughter of the late Samuel Hugh McCollum and the late Annie O'Neal McCollum. She lived in Hogansville most of her life, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hogansville and the Order of the Eastern Star, and was wife of the late Wesley Duffey. She was employed for a number of years as assistant city clerk for the City of Hogansville. Survivors include sons and daughters in-law, Claude and Myra Duffey of Blairsville, Steve and Deborah Duffey of Abingdon, MD; sister and brother in-law, June and Robert Nash of Grantville; sister in-law, Lourette McCollum of Hogansville; grandsons, Brian and Susan Duffey of LaGrange, Joey Duffey of Blairsville, Paul and Amber Duffey of Young Harris; and great-grandchildren, Justin Duffey, Megan Duffey, Kolby Duffey, Warren Duffey, Everett Duffey, Allison Duffey, Abbi Duffey, Ashley Duffey. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Tuesday night, May 10th, at Claude A.
