MRS. BERNIE LOU MARTIN Mrs. Bernie Lou Martin, 83, of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether County, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Twin Fountains Home in LaGrange. Mrs. Martin was born July 23, 1931, in Jackson County, Florida, daughter of the late Orville Oscar Reeves and Bernice Williams Reeves. A graduate of Luthersville High School, she lived in Meriwether County most of her life, attended Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Lone Oak, and retired as a quality inspector from Uniroyal, Inc. Survivors include her daughters and son in-law, Tammy Renee Martin of Lone Oak, Sherry and Kelly Kramer of Five Points, AL; sons and daughters in-law, Steve and Teresa Martin, Hugh (Mike) and Vicki Martin, Gerry and Patsy Martin, all of LaGrange; sister, Carolyn and Billy Russell of Thomaston; brother, Roger and Deborah Reeves of Sparta, VA; sisters in-law, Grace Reeves of Ormond Beach, FL, Marion Reeves of Sharpsburg; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Reeves and Gerald Reeves. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Richard Hanner will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
