Bernice Buchanan Wilson

Mrs. Bernice Buchanan Chatman Wilson, 79, of LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Wilson was born January 4, 1939 in Kansas, daughter of the late Quillian Buchanan and Edith Chatman Buchanan. She worked many years as a seamstress and was also a certified nursing assistant, was a member of New Springs Congregational Methodist Church in Heard County, and attended Franklin Rd. Baptist Church in LaGrange. Mrs. Wilson loved caring for her animals and was a skilled quilter. Survivors include her children, Tommy Chatman and his wife Merina of Franklin, Teresa Hobbs and her husband Leroy of Hamilton, Michael Chatman, Terry Chatman, and Scott Chatman all of LaGrange, Mary Barber Chatman; sisters, Sharon Taylor of LaGrange, Janie Dollar and her husband Eddie of Hogansville; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Chatman and Bill Wilson; brothers, Austin Buchanan, Randall Buchanan, Billy Joe Buchanan; and sisters, Betty Joyce Zimmerman and Nelda Laverne Railey.
